Koroni (Corone) is located at the Southwest part of the Messinian Peninsula, only 52km away from Kalamata. It is a small traditional village with a population of approximately 1700 people. It is mainly defined by its picturesque narrow streets and the traditional colorfull houses. One of the main attractions of the village is the beautiful Venetian castle. Koroni is also famous for its spectacular sandy beaches where you can swim and enjoy your vacations under the great Greek sun. Colonides beach, which is surrounded by beautiful trees creating a great scenery, is probably the most famous one around this area.
